This Autumn and Winter, the Community Hub in Barrowden will be hosting a wide variety of events which is sure to include something for everyone.

On Thursday October 23rd Tim McMullan, local lad and leading TV, Film and theatre actor will be entertaining us with tales of his life in and out of the acting profession, with an opportunity for Q and A for any aspiring actors or anyone curious about this intriguing profession!​ Only a very few tickets left - get them only by phoning Valerie on 01572 748655 or contact info@barrowdencommunityhub.co.uk. £15 for adults, £5 for young people under 22

October 24th sees a ceilidh evening with dancing and fun for all ages. From 7pm, Bring and share supper, tickets £5. Dancing will be to CDs and dances will all be called. Everyone welcome, no experience necessary, just bring soft shoes.

We also have an afternoon of Bridge with Afternoon Tea on October 8th. Tables are selling fast!

Hilary Moralee will again be hosting the annual Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday 15th November, always a great opportunity to purchase local hand made crafts and gifts for Christmas and special occasions. 15 tables already booked by a variety of local crafters coming from a wide area. Refreshments and seating available. Mulled wine, hot drinks, winter tasties. Free entry. Live music in the morning, just come for a listen and a warm up.

The Happy Tuesdays and guests will be hosting a musical Christmas party on Friday 5th December, with great entertainment and a night of food and fun - not to be missed. ​​​​Tickets £20 to include a glass of fizz and supper. 4th Friday of every month 10.30am sees the return of the Rutland Musical Memories Cafe, to which everyone experiencing memory loss and their carers are most welcome. All volunteer helpers are also welcome to attend. Donations to LMMR.
​
On the 2nd Tuesday each month, the local Barrowden and Wakerley Womens’ Institute welcomes ladies from all around the area to meet and socialise and listen to some highly informative and educational speakers. They hold learning experiences and hands on evenings which are well attended. All women welcome, as members or occasional guests. Refreshments provided and a bar is available.
